Vittorio Angelone – Sunday 28th May

Vittorio Angelone comes to Southampton Comedy Club for New Forest Comedy Festival

Vittorio Angelone is coming to entertain for New Forest Comedy Festival

Vittorio Angelone, a comedian of Italian-Irish heritage, is coming to The Attic — Southampton’s leading Comedy Club for New Forest Comedy Festival. Vittorio was raised in Belfast and initially trained as a classical musician in London before finding his calling in stand-up comedy.

His popularity quickly soared across the industry with his stand-up acts, podcasts and sketches racking up millions of views online. He has had the honour of opening for well-known names such as Jason Manford, Adam Rowe, Shane Todd and Dan Nightingale. In 2022 Vittorio had a sold out run at the Edinburgh Fringe and was nominated for Best Newcomer at the Dave Comedy Awards.

He has also made appearances on BBC One, Channel 4 as well as being a guest/co-host of Have A Word Podcast and Two Vegan Idiots Podcasts.

Vittorio Angelone’s experience of attending a rendition of Brian Friel’s sublime play, “Translations”, at the National Theatre in London left him enchanted. However, the resounding response from the English audience confounded him.

Empathise with Vittorio as he grapples with his Irishness while in England, confronts issues of self-identity and ponders why comedies tinged with sorrow often garner such recognition and appreciation.

His show was granted nominations for awards but alas did not clinch any prizes; nonetheless, Vittorio Angelone’s driving performance remains pertinent to this day.
