Richard Herring has experienced tremendous success as an author and performer and is revolutionary in the world of podcasts.

For the New Forest Comedy Festival, you too can join Richard Herring, described as “Podfather” (Guardian), “King of the Internet” (Time Out) and “The UK’s online comedy pioneer” (The Times), at the Forest Arts Centre to chat with outstanding guests.

RHLSTP sees him interview “live” renowned comedians in front of an audience for his podcast, but incorporates dialogue which would be too daring for broadcast.

Famous previous attendees have included Stephen Fry, Michael Palin, Katherine Ryan, Dawn French, Stephen Merchant, Kathy Burke, Grayson Perry, Nish Kumar and James Acaster.

The show often reaches up to 200K listeners per episode and was rewarded three Chortle Internet Comedy Awards; additionally it stands as the sole non-BBC show ever to receive a Sony Best Comedy Award.

In 2010 he released the book ‘How Not To Grow Up’, along with his stand up show, “Hitler Moustache”, on DVD.

He toured 94 dates around the country to debut his Edinburgh Fringe performance, “Christ On A Bike: The Second Coming”, which gained much critical praise from The Guardian, List, and Chortle.

Ents24 named Richard Herring in their list of the top 20 hardest-working comedians in 2017 and 2015.
