New Forest New Comedian of the Year 2023
Over 60 new acts compete for the inaugural title of New Forest Comedy Festival: “New Comedian of the Year”.
Each act gets just five minutes to show what they can do, and you the audience help to decide who makes it through.
Heats take place at venues throughout the New Forest with the Final being held on Saturday 17 June at Hanger Farm AC as part of the New Forest Comedy Festival.
The winner will automatically go through to the Semi-Finals of the national New Comedian of the Year competition at the Museum of Comedy in London in the Autumn of 2023. Previous finalists include Rob Beckett, Rachel Parris, Dane Baptise, Sofie Hagen, Tim Renkow, Nigel Ng (Uncle Roger), Alasdair Beckett-King and Amy Gledhill.

Entry Requirements:
- The competition is free to enter and open to any non-professional act that’s been performing for 5 years or less.
- Entries from character acts, musical acts and sketch groups are welcome.
- All contestants must stick to 5 minutes of material or risk disqualification.
